Users of the shared hosting (HAG)
What will happen:
The new database server (geras.koumbit.net) will be put online.
Why:
The new database server will improve performance on the shared hosting service.
How:
We will proceed with the rotation of the current "Master" and "Slave" servers, a procedure which should take between 5 and 10 minutes, during which all SQL services will be turned off. This will have an impact on web services (which will be offline) and mail delivery (which will be delayed).
The operation will take place between 15h30 and 16h30 (UTC-0500). The Identica news thread (http://identi.ca/group/koumbitsysadmin) will be updated with our progress or any problems, if they occur.
